A P P E N D I X B
-s[=filename]
enables the program to use the defined file as a .set file (the default file
is defined in the
SetFile
line in
AvpUnix.ini
). For example,
./kavupdater -s=avp.set
.
-t[=directory]
enables the program to use the defined directory for intermediate op-
erations. For example,
./kavupdater -t=/home/user1/temp
.
-kb[-]
skips the query for saving old virus-definition databases.
-ki[-]
skips loading the .ini file.
-ks[-]
skips writing the .set file name into the .ini file. This switch may be use-
ful if you updated virus-definition databases into a temporary directory
from which they will later be moved.
-y[-]
skips all confirmation dialogs (to be used in script files).
-h[a]
or
-?
displays the list of available command line switches.
-o
optimizes the
.set
file. During the optimization the file names are for-
matted into lowercase letters: name of the .set file within
AvpUnix.ini
,
name of the .set file itself, names of virus-definition database files
within the .set file and names of virus-definition database files them-
selves. Sometimes this kind of synchronization is necessary, since
xBSD is a case sensitive system.
