13.2.2. Defining the location to be
checked
When starting Inspector, you must define the location to be checked. You
may do this one of the following ways:
•
by creating a text file listing all the required directories and defin-
ing its name in the Inspector command line.
•
by entering the required directory path in the Inspector command
line.
To set Inspector to load the location to be checked from a text
file, follow these steps:
1. Create a list of directories to be checked and save it to a text
file. Every directory with its full path must be located in a sepa-
rate line in the text file list. For example, the file may contain
strings similar to the following:
/tmp
/var
2. When starting Inspector, use the switch
a@=filename
in its
command line and specify the text file's name in this switch.
For example, the Inspector command line may look similar to
the following:
./kavinspector –
а
@=scan.txt
Add the character "
!
" to the switch, if you want the program to delete
the text file right after the check is completed. In this case, the gen-
eral format of this switch is
–
а
@!=filname.
To define the location to be checked directly in the command
line,
specify all the full paths to the directories to be checked in the Inspector
command line. The directories in the command line must be separated
