Step 1: Install and secure the KanguruDock
You will now need to install the KanguruDock. This is the metal frame with a swinging door into
which the KanguruDisk is inserted (See Figure 2).
1. Remove the cover plate of an empty 5 1/4” drive bay and carefully insert the KanguruDock.
Caution: Hold the KanguruDock by its sides, not the door, being careful not to
break the swinging door hinges.
2. The swinging door faces outwards to the front of the PC in order for it to be accessible to the
KanguruDisk.

Typical Cable Setup for Internal
KanguruDock
Replace your original ribbon cable that was
connected to your hard drive with the
KanguruDock cable. The end of the cable should
connect to the location to which your original
cable was connected.
