Before installing the KanguruDock note where each relevant computer component is located. Refer, if
need be, to your system manual(s) for help (See Figure 1):
1. The power supply.
2. The internal hard drive(s)
3. The IDE controller
Note:
The IDE controller connector in a Pentium is built into the motherboard. Your manual will
indicate where the connector is located on the motherboard. In a 486, this is typically a separate card
located with the expansion boards.
4. The 40-pin ribbon cable (connecting your hard drive(s) to the controller)
5. An empty 5 1/4” drive bay for your KanguruDock.
