8. Installation
Only for authorised personnel!
Warning:
Wrong connection can cause damage to the thermostat. We cannot be
held responsible for any damage caused by wrong connection and
improper handling of the controller!
— Before working at the controller switch off current!
— Connection and service may only be done by authorised personnel.
— The device is designed only for circuits with permanently connected voltage.
— Installation has to be made in accordance with the enclosed elementary circuit diagram.
— The thermostat has only been designed for connection to lines laid fixed in dry closed
rooms.
— When installing the thermostat please ensure that lines carrying mains voltage, e.g.
mains input and lines for relay connection, do not touch lines with low voltage, such as
sensor lines (minimum distance 4 mm) when there are base insulated conductors.
— Moreover, please ensure sufficient protection against unaided detachment of the
conductors connected (in accordance with EN 60730, part 1). This may be done by
lacing the lines.
— Please follow VDE 0100 and EN 60730, part 1 standards as well as the rules of your
local electricity boards.
— If the controller does not work please check at first whether connection has been effected
properly and if voltage is supplied.
9. Mounting
The thermostat is suitable for many European standard flush boxes It is also suitable for
normal wall mounting with surface cable entry.
In case of surface wall mounting please ensure that only that part is taken off the enclosure’s
bottom which is provided for that purpose. If you cut off the complete land the enclosure
might not close correctly.
