The Role of ACU in RET System

In a typical RET system as shown in the following diagram, an ACU

controller is installed at each base station site. The ACU controller is

connected to the RET antennas via AISG control cable and to the Node B by

an Ethernet cable. At the mobile operator ’s Operations and Maintenance

Center, a centralized RET antenna management system, consisting of a

server and clients, allows remote control of the ACU. Many ACU controllers

can be managed from one central location.
