Navigating The Folder/File Structure

Finding the Root Directory
On page 37, you’ l l not i ce t hat t he r oot di r ect or y ( or r oot f ol der ) of t he JX
-MP256FM
cont ai ns 3 songs. To pl ay t hese songs, your devi ce has t o be “ i n” t he r oot . To get t her e:
1. Turn the unit ON, if necessary.

I f i t ’ s not i n t he
Music Player mode, press the button for several seconds until the
Main Menu appears, and select the MSC (Music) mode.
3. The last song played will appear on the display, and the unit will be in its STOPped
posi t i on. Let ’ s assume t hat i t ’ s Tower of Power ’ s “ What I s Hi p” ( above) . To get t o t he
root directory (shown on page 37), press the button momentarily to go to the
MUSIC ADMIN menu. IMPORTANT! Remember, the unit must be in the STOP mode
before you can navigate through its folders.
