express elapsed minutes (mm), seconds (ss) and hundredths of a second (hh). Note
that a colon (
: ) separates minutes and seconds, but a period ( . ) separates seconds
from hundredths of a second. You must also use square brackets, as shown.

1. Have the written or typed lyrics in front of you, arranged in a line-by-line format.
2. Set the stopwatch to zero.
3. Simultaneously start the music and the stopwatch.
4. As soon as the first lyric line begins, press the split button to stop the watch and
quickly record the time in the [mm:ss.hh] format. Once done, press the split button
again to resume the timekeeping.
5. As soon as the second lyric line begins, press the split button to stop the watch
and quickly record the time, as before. Once done, press the split button again to
resume the timekeeping.

8. You must then rename the text file so it has the .LRC extension. Renaming a file is
a basic Windows function and your Windows documentation or its Help system will
