recording, or other activity will end abruptly when the unit shuts off. The SLEEP Timer
provides far longer time intervals than does the OFF Timer, but unlike the OFF Timer
(which requires the unit to be idle to be turned off), the SLEEP Timer will be effective
under all conditions.

Setting the SLEEP TIME

1. Be sure

is highlighted in the System Settings menu, and press the

2. In the resulting display, be sure Sleep Time is selected by pressing the

button again to display the Sleep Time scale.

WMA files that are stored on your PC for playback by the unit. It can also be used to
transfer any voice files (see page 49) that you create, to your PC, for storage on its
hard disk.

The other selection, known as

MediaDev.

(Media Device), is required when you

wish to download WMA files that are subject to DRM (Digital Rights Management)
restrictions (see pages 28-29). Such files, if you have them, will only play on your
JX-
