To increase the sound level for DVD playback
automatically
The DVD’s audio sound is sometimes recorded at a lower level than
for other discs such as VCDs or CDs.
If you have adjusted the volume level for a DVD, the output sound
may be unexpectedly loud when you start playing back a disc other
than DVD.
To avoid this inconvenience, this unit is preset to increase the sound
level for DVD playback automatically—the initial setting is “DVD
LEVEL +.”
• Once you have set this function, it is effective every time you play
back a DVD.
• This function does not affect any discs other than DVDs.
• This function does not affect the audio output level through the
OPTICAL DIGITAL OUTPUT terminal.
To turn on and off the function,
press DVD LEVEL.
• Each time you press the button, the setting alternates between
“DVD LEVEL +” (on) and “DVD NORMAL” (off).
