MANUALLY
PUSHED
Fig. 5.17
• Keep on turning the axe using the service screws while pushing
the calibrated tape toward the suction port. If the 0,25 mm calibrated
tape gives a too high ‘rotating resistence’ try again with a 0,20 mm one.
• Before that calibrated tape is expelled (still squeezed between the
rotors) turn the axe in the opposite direction until the point or points of
higher resistence has been determinate. In this position, turn around
the axe in both directions for a number of times.
• If the points of higher resistance present an elevated rotation
resistance, repeat the timing operations from the mounting of the lower
gear. (The one fitted pushing it manually).
• With the steel calibrated tape still squeezed between the rotors.
Force the lower gear fit in the axial direction using the tool no° 7 and an
hammer. Only one strong hit is enough.
• A good / correct adjustment is obtained when the steel calibrated
tape is resistence-free & smoothly drawn along the whole length of the
rotors.
