Chassis LEDs on an XRE200 External Routing Engine
The XRE200 External Routing Engine has three chassis LEDs on the bottom left side of the front panel.
Table 7 on page 30 describes the chassis LEDs on an XRE200 External Routing Engine, their colors and
states, and the status they indicate. You can also view the colors of the three LEDs remotely through the
CLI by issuing the operational mode command show chassis led.

External Routing Engine is powered off. Unlit Power
External Routing Engine is powered on. Green (on)
Data is not being read from or written to the hard disk
drive.
Unlit Hard Disk Drive
Data is being read from or written to the hard disk drive. Yellow (blinking)
External Routing Engine hardware has no major (red) alarm
conditions.
Unlit Hardware
External Routing Engine hardware is hotter than the
maximum high temperature threshold.
Red (on)
At least one fan has failed. Red (fast blinking)
A power supply is not supplying power to the external
Routing Engine.
Red (slow blinking)
A major alarm (red) indicates a critical error condition that requires immediate action.
A minor alarm (yellow) indicates a noncritical condition that requires monitoring or maintenance. A minor
alarm that is left unchecked might cause interruption in service or performance degradation.
All three LEDs can be lit simultaneously.
