CTP1000 Console Cable Pinouts
A console is connected to the CTP1002, CTP1004, and CTP1012 devices with a DB-9
crossover cable. The console connections are configured to the following parameters:

Speed: 9600 bps
•
Data bits: 8
• Stop bits: 1
• Flow control: Xon/Xoff
•
Parity: none

Fast Ethernet Cables
The Ethernet connection is a standard RJ-45 connector. Typically, a straight-through
cable is used to connect to a switch, and a crossover cable is used to connect to a router.
DC Power Cables
For CTP chassis with DC power options, we recommend 18-AWG power cables.
