Operating the truck without its own drive system
WARNING!
Uncontrolled truck movement
When the brakes are de-activated the truck must be parked on a level surface, since
the brakes are no longer effective.
Do not release the brake on slopes or inclines.
Apply the brake again when you reach your destination.
Do not park the truck with the brake released.
Releasing the brake
Tools and Material Required
– Two M5x42 screws
– Spanner wrench
Procedure
• Turn of the key switch, CanCode (
o
).
• Switch off the Emergency Disconnect button.
• Disconnect the battery.
• Prevent the truck from rolling away.
• Open the battery panel, (see "Exposing the battery" on page 32).
• Lift up the front panel (1) and put it to one side, (see "Removing the front panel" on
page 96).
• Insert two M5x42 screws (53) as far as the stop and lift up the anchor plate.
The brake is now released and the truck can be moved.
Applying the brake
Procedure
• Unscrew the two M5x42 screws again.
• Refit the front cover (1).
Braking is now restored again.
