Whenever the parameter setting of the controller is not conform
to those of the connected personal computer, a modification is
necessary.
Factory setting of the RS232 interface:

0 = keypad control mode
1 = remote control mode via RS232C
2 = External programmer
Like all parametes which can be entered through the keypad, interface
parameters are stored in memory even after the controller is turned off.
