OPERATION
1.
Fill the liquid fuel into the fire container’s opening, max. 5 dl. Ideally use a funnel, and take care to
ensure that no fluid ends up outside of the fireplace!
2.
Light the liquid fuel with a long firelighter. Do not use matches!
3.
The fuel must not be heated prior to use.
4.
Use the damper to extinguish the fire. Cover the fire container’s openings fully with the damper. We
recommend that you allow the liquid fuel to burn up fully rather than extinguishing the fire.
5.
If burning fluid should end up outside of the stove due to carelessness, the fire must be
extinguished with a blanket, wet natural fibre cloth or fire extinguisher.
6.
Note that the fuel container must never be topped up with new fuel when the stove is lit, when the
flame has just been extinguished or while the fuel is hot.
7.
Do not fill new fuel into the container while it is still hot. Before filling with new fuel, wait for at least
20 minutes after the flames have gone out and the fuel in the container has burned up.
8.
Do not burn any other materials, paper, matches, etc., in the fuel container.
9.
Carbon dioxide and water vapour are formed when burning biofuel, i.e. the stove consumes oxygen
and emits moisture during use. For this reason, the stove requires good ventilation, a good supply
of oxygen, as well as the following minimum room dimensions: 13 m
2
floor space and a volume of
at least 32 m
3
.
10. For optimum combustion, the adjustable burner must not be closed such that it covers more than
half the burner’s opening.
11.
The stove must not be installed for heating rooms, and should not replace other heating.
12.
The open fire must not be used in flammable rooms or rooms where there is a danger of explosion,
defined in accordance with EN 60079-10 and SRVFS 2004:7
13.
It is not permitted to build the open fire into the wall.
14.
Never place garments or other flammable material on top of the stove.
15. The open fire may only be cleaned when it is not in operation. Wipe off with a wet cloth if
necessary.
