Pull the motor backwards far enough for the workpie
ce to be placed on the table.
•
Turn the tool on with the power switch. Allow the blade to reach full speed.
Check that the blade is
wet.
•
Using both hands, hold the tile securely against the fence at the back of the motor.
WARNING
Keep your hands and fingers
away from the grooves at the rear edge of the workt
able. This is
where the blade moves when cutting.
•
Slowly push the motor forwards so that the tile comes into contact with the blade.
Feed the tile
smoothly and evenly toward the blade.
Do not press too hard and do not bump the tile against the
blade.
•
Follo
w the cutting line you have marked.
Adjust the position of the tile, if necessary.
•
Never cut with a dry blade.
The blade must be wet during the entire cutting operation.
Frequently
check the water level in the water tray. Add more water if necessary.
The w
ater must cover the
pump.
•
If the motor slows down, slow your feed rate or pull the motor backwards.
•
Turn off the tool and unplug the power cord before cleaning.
Wipe off the tool with a sponge.
•
Turn off t
he tool using the power switch.
Wait until the blade has come to a complete standstill.
Never attempt to stop the blade with your hands or an object.
WARNING
Do not attempt to remove cut-offs or the cut tile until the blade has come to a complete
standstill.
•
Unplug the power cord after use.
Empty the water
tray and clean the tool and the pump. Lock the
motor before carrying out any maintenance or before transporting or storing it.
Diagonal cutting
•
Loosen the locking screw for the mitre fence.
•
Fit the mitre fence on the left side fence at the
rear edge of the
worktable.
•
Set the mitre fence to the width required.
•
Lock the mitre fence with the locking screw.
•
Loosen the angle adjustment knob on top of the
tool.
•
Adjust to the angle required (0° to 45°).
•
Lock the angle adjustment knob.
•
Press the tile against the mitre fence and cut the
tile.
45° bevel cutting
•
Pull the motor backwards to release the blade.
•
Loosen the angle adjustment knob on the side of the frame.
•
Turn the motor to a 45° angle.
•
Lock the angle adjustment knob.
•
Lock the height adjustment knob.
•
Raise
the guide to 45°.
•
Move the motor slowly backwards and forwards to check the blade is not in contact with the 45°
cutting groove in the table or the fence at the back of the table.
Using the extension bracket
•
The extension bracket is used to provide additi
onal support for larger tiles, if necessary.
•
Pull out the extension bracket on the left side of the worktable to the length required,
but do not pull
it out completely.
•
Tighten the locking screws on both
guide rails.
•
Move the side stop upwards.
•
Press the tile against the extension bracket’s side stop and the motor’s fence and cut the tile.
