•
Keep your hands away from the blade while it is rotating.
•
If the blade jams, do
not attempt to free it until you have switched off
the tool and unplugged the
power cord from the mains power supply.
•
Make sure the water tank is full when you operate the cutter.
•
Never use solvents instead of water.
•
Unplug the power cord before carrying out maintenance on the tool and when the tool is not
in use.
Special safety instructions
•
Make sure that the directional arrow on the blade corresponds with the direction of rotation of the
motor.
•
Regularly check that the spindle screw is tight and that the
blade is securely on the spindle.
•
Before each use,
check the blade for cracks or other damage. Replace the blade immediately if it is
cracked or damaged.
•
The tool must only be used with an approved residual current device.
•
Keep the power cord away from th
e cutting area. Position it so it cannot get caught on the
workpiece.
•
Always check that adjuster keys/spanners and other assembling tools have been removed before
starting the tool.
•
Never try to cut freehand. The tile must be held securely against the motor fence or against the
mitre fence. Never try to cut
workpieces that are too small to be held securely with your hands at a
safe distance from the blade.
•
Make sure there is room for the cut-
off from the workpiece to move sideways.
If there is not enough
room the cut-off may get caught in the blade.
•
Never cut more than one tile at a time.
•
Only have the tile to be cut on the table and keep the area around the table clear.
•
Before cutting, allow the blade to rotate freely for a few seconds.
If it makes an abnormal noise or if
the blade vibrates excessively, turn
off the cutter immediately and unplug the power cord.
•
Allow the motor to reach full speed before cutting.
•
Turn off the cutter, unplug the power cord and allow the blade and motor to come to a complete
standstill before you try to remove any material that has jammed around the blade area.
•
Never touch the blade or other moving parts during use.
•
Never attempt to remove splinters or pieces until the blade has come to a complete standstill.
•
Make sure that cut-
offs are not thrown up by the blade.
•
Never leave the tool until the motor and the blade have come to a complete standstill. Never leave
the tool unattended when it is plugged into a power outlet.
Turn off the tool and unplug the power
cord before leaving it.
•
Never allow the blade to run dry. Cutting with a dry blade causes excessive wear and possible
damage to the blade and/or motor.
•
Use transportation devices to move and transport the tool. Never lift or pull the tool by its guards.
