Lower the needle.

If you start sewing while the thread take-up is engaged in its ascending motion, the needle thread may slip out of the needle’s eye.

Start to run the sewing machine.
Do not pull the material by hand while it is being sewn.

When the sewing is finished, stop the sewing machine and actuate the thread trimmer.
Press the automatic thread trimming switch or depress the thread trimming foot switch. When actuat-
ing the automatic thread trimmer, the needle will stop in its highest position after trimming. (If you use
a thread as thick as count #20 or more or a special-kind of thread, manually cut the thread using a pair
of scissors.)
* After the thread trimming, you can re-start sewing even if the bobbin thread does not appear on the
throat plate.
Cuando se haya acabado el material, pare la máquina de coser y actúe el cortahilo.
Pulse el interruptor de corte automático del hilo o presione el interruptor de pedal del cortahilo. Al
actuar el cortahilo automático, la aguja se detendrá en su posición más alta. (Si usa un hilo de un
grosor de cuenta #20 o más o un hilo especial, corte el hilo manualmente o con una tijeras.)
* Después de cortar el hilo, usted puede reanudar el cosido aunque el hilo de bobina no aparezca en
la placa de agujas.
A la fin de la couture, arrêter la machine et actionner le coupe-fil.
Appuyer sur le bouton de coupe automatique du fil ou sur l’interrupteur au pied de coupe du fil. Lorsque
le coupe-fil automatique est actionné,l’aiguille s’arrête sur sa position la plus haute. (Pour les fils de
grosseur égale ou supérieure au n° 20 ou les fils spéciaux, utiliser des ciseaux.)
* Après la coupe du fil, on peut reprendre la couture même si le fil de canette n’est pas apparent sur la
plaque à aiguille.
