Adjustment Procedures
Results of Improper Adjustment
Loosen two thrust collar setscrews

and tighten them while
pressing the hook shaft in the direction of arrow mark.
Bring needle bar

to the lowest position of its stroke. Loosen
needle bar connection screw

and adjust so that upper marker
line

engraved on the needle bar aligns with the bottom end of
needle bar bushing, lower

.
Note) 1. After the adjustment, be sure to check that there is
no uneven torque.
2. When stitch skipping occurs in accordance with the
sewing conditions, adjust the height of the needle
bar so as to lower it by 0.5 to 1 mm from the needle
bar engraved line

Remove setscrew

and remove inner hook stopper

. Further,
loosen right and left setscrews

and remove oil shield plate
4
.
At this time, do not try to forcibly remove the oil shield plate. Turn
the handwheel and remove it at the position near to the up-stop
position of the handwheel.
