Definitions
The meaning of standard definitions as used in this manual are explained in the table below.
DHCP A network management protocol used on Internet Protocol networks
whereby a DHCP server dynamically assigns an IP address and other
network configuration parameters to each device on a network so
they can communicate with other IP networks.
IEC A non-profit, non-governmental international standards organization
that prepares and publishes International Standards for all electrical,
electronic, and related technologies.
MSISDN A number uniquely identifying a subscription in a mobile network. It is
the mapping of the telephone number to the subscriber identity
module in a device.
PIN A numeric or alpha-numeric password used in the process of
authenticating a user accessing a device.
SIM An integrated circuit that is intended to securely store the
international mobile subscriber identity number and its related key,
which are used to identify and authenticate subscribers on devices.
