4.5 GENERAL ALARM
INTERFACE TO SHIP WHISTLE/SIREN
In order to use the ship whistle as a part of the General Alarm system the Compact MPA is providing a dry closing contact
(NO) output that generates a control output signal synchronised with the GA tone sequence at terminals 82 and 84. Ref.
drawing in 9.3.
4.6 MUTE OF EXTERNAL GENERAL ALARM
DURING EMERGENCY PA
During an active Emergency PA, the Compact MPA outputs a dry closing contact (NO) output at terminals 85 and 87 as a
mute signal for an alternative external GA system. This signal is activated together with the internal GA mute functionality.
4.7 GENERAL ALARM
WARNING (FLASHING) LIGHT
An active General Alarm in the Compact MPA system is also indicated with a dry closing contact (NO) output at terminals 66
and 68 for activation of external GA warning lights. This is mandatory in high noise environments. Ref. drawing in 9.3.
