5.1 Batteries

The electrical energy of the platform is supplied by a 24 VDC battery. The battery is composed of 12 two volt cells
distributed in 3 packs.

The batteries are integral part of the machine's counterweight. Replacing these batteries by lighter
or heavier batteries will modify the stability of the machine and cause the machine to tip over.

New batteries used on electrical vehicles do not reach their full capacity until they have been
charged/discharged a few times (between 5 and 40 cycles). For at least the first five cycles, it is
recommended not to discharge the battery beyond 70% of its capacity. To obtain maximum service
life, do not discharge the battery beyond 80% of its capacity.
