(24) ALT EXP.
Used to display both the normal trace and the x5 (x10) enlarged trace. In
YA and YB mode four traces are displayed.
(25) TRACE SEP.
Trace separation adjustment to 1.5 divisions or more.
TRIGGERING OR SYNCHRONISATION
(26) EXT. INPUT
This input is used to trigger the time base via an external signal.
(27) MODE
4-position lever.
AUTO:
Sweeping is continuous in auto sweep mode, a trace is visible even
when no signal is applied.
A waveform is displayed when the input signal is triggered.
NORM:
A waveform is displayed only when the input signal is present and
correctly triggered.
No waveform is displayed on screen when the input signal is not
synchronised.
Used for frequencies below 25 Hz.
TV-H:
Signal synchronised on the horizontal component of the video signal.
TV-V:
Signal synchronised on the vertical component of the video signal.
Note:
TV-V and TV-H are synchronised only when the trigger signal is (-).
(28) SOURCE
4-position lever.
INT:
The signal applied to YA or YB is the trigger signal.
YB:
The signal applied to YB is the trigger signal (the vertical YB button must
be activated).
RES:
The mains voltage frequency is used as the trigger signal (50 Hz).
EXT:
Triggering by an external signal.
(29) THRESHOLD
Used to select the amplitude of the point in the sweep triggering signal
waveform.
(30) EDGE
Button pushed: the sweep starting point is on a falling edge.
Button pulled: the sweep starting point is on a rising edge.
