Fig 1
Keep a 2mm gap between the sanding
paper and the table edge.
Mount the sanding belt table (A, Fig 2)
to the sander with the two indexable
handles (B, Fig 2) and two washers.
Fig 2
The guide pin should go into the lower
slot (C, Fig 2).
Note:
The sanding belt table can be removed
and the sanding disc table can be used
in its place. There are two holes in the
base that will accommodate the table.
5.3 Mains connection
Mains connection and any extension
cords used must comply with
applicable regulations.
The mains voltage must comply with
the information on the machine licence
plate.
The mains connection must have a 10
A surge-proof fuse.
Only use power cords marked H07RN-
F
Connections and repairs to the
electrical equipment may only be
carried out by qualified electricians.
5.4 Dust connection
Before initial operation, the machine
must be connected to a dust collector.
The suction should switch on
automatically when the belt sander is
switched on.
The flow rate on the 100mm suction
port (A, Fig 3) must be 20m/sec.
Flexible hoses must be of non-
flammable quality, and must be
connected to the dust collector ground
system.

Pull the gate (C, Fig 3) to open the air
suction to the sanding belt.
Push down the gate (D, Fig 3) to open
the air flow to the disc sander
5.5 Starting operation
You can start the machine with the
green on button. The red button on the
main switch stops the machine.
6. Machine operation
Feed the workpiece straight across the
machine table, holding your fingers
close together, guiding the workpiece
with the palm of your hands.
Don’t put your hands under the
machine table.
Always keep your hands well clear of
the moving sanding belt or disc.
When working complex shapes, make
jigs and guides to guide the workpiece
properly and safely.
Support long workpieces with helping
roller stands.
For bevel sanding the tables can be
tilted. Adjust the tables to keep a
distance between the sanding paper
and the table edge of 2 mm.
The centre point (A, Fig 4) provided
with the machine can be used for
circular sanding. Adjust the radius and
tighten the set screws (B, Fig 4).
Fig 4
Horizontal belt sanding:
Loosen the screw (A, Fig 5) so that the
sanding belt can be rotated to the
horizontal position until the stop (B, Fig
5) contacts the sander base.
Fig 5
When sanding in the horizontal
position, the belt sanding table may be
used as a work stop
7. Setup and adjustments
General note:
Setup and adjustment work may
only be carried out after the
machine is protected against
accidental starting by pulling the
mains plug.
7.1 Changing the sanding belt
Disconnect the machine from the
power source (pull mains plug).
Lock the belt sander in the vertical
position.
Release two latches (B, Fig 6) and
open the covers.
