Chapter 13 and 14: Activation of the flocking agent pump an Logbook function
13. Activation of the flocking agent pump
For the control of the flocculation central pump different pos-
sibilities can be selected.
Variant 1: control of the pump proportionally to the pure
water flow.
automatic controller input signal 0/4 0 mA
range of adjustment 0-100%
Variant 2: Control of the metering pump by direct input.
In the night-time mode the dosing pump can be operated for re-
duced flocculation capacity. The following operation modes can
be selected in the “service” menu for the control of the flocking
pump:
• operation mode - off
• operation mode - “on” with setting of power output in %
• operation mode - “night-time reduced service” with setting
of power output into separate % for day-time and night-
time
• operation mode - “flow-dependent” (disturbance factor) with
setting of power output in %
• operation mode - “flow-dependent” (disturbance factor) and
night-time reduced service” with setting of power output
into separate % for day-time and night-time.
The night-time mode is activated by the timers (setting of the
timers in the service menu). The configuration of the output sig-
nal for the dosing pump is made in the configuration menu. The
following outputs can be configured:
• Pulse frequency with optocoupler
• pulse frequency with relays
• pulse length with relays
• constant exit 0/4 0 mA
• ON/OFF with relays
WARNING!!
The night-time operation of the flockuing agent
pump is not dependent on the DIN parameters
14. Logbook function
The following activities are stored in the logbook:
• Configuration of the initial delivery with date and time
• Default configuration of date and time
• Settings of the controller parameters (Xp, Tn, Tv), basic load,
delimitation, default values,
• Default alarm parameters and calibration data with date and
time
• Change of the automatic controller parameters (Xp, Tn,
Tv), basic load, delimitation, being, alarm parameters, and
calibration data with date and time
• Configuration of the digital switching inputs
These data are stored on the MMC memory card and can be
directly selected in the TOPAX or with a PC. The software version
is stored as is and a file (* LOG) as text file and DATE (* DAT) as
recorder file per day.
For installation of the MMC card see paragraph 4.8. For con-
figuration of the log book please see chapter 16, menü 5.6 “log-
files”.
WARNING!
The MMC - card may be only placed or removed
when the power is disconnected and the instrument
is plugged off. VERY IMPORTANT: handling or wor-
king on the MMC - card without disconnecting power
may lead to major failures and loss of data for which
the manufacturer is not liable. It is also to be noted
that the MMC - card can be only formatted in the
“FAT” format.
