TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

Symptom Possible Cause Solution
The unit is disconnected
from the AC outlet. Reconnect to the AC outlet.
The AC outlet has not
power. Try the unit on another outlet.
The unit does not
respond (no
power)
Power is not on
The "AA" batteries are
exhausted. Replace all 4 "AA" batteries with fresh
ones.
VOLUME control is set to
minimum.
Adjust the VOLUME control.
Station has not been tuned
properly. Tune the station properly.
FM reception is weak. Extend and rotate the telescopic
antenna.
AM reception is weak. Relocate the position of the unit.
No/low sound
when power on
the radio
Unit in Weather Alert Mode Select AM, FM or WB mode as
desired.
No Response to
Alerts Make sure the radio is
set to the correct weather
channel for your area.
Tune to the correct weather channel
for your area.
Unit gets warm
after extended
play at high
volume.
This is normal.
Turn the unit off for a period of time or
lower volume.
