Learning to Use JENFAB Belt Washers

Leveling the Belt Washer

If the floor is not level, use shims and a level to level the belt washer.
A level installation promotes vibration-free operation, reduces strain
on the machine framework, and promotes proper overflow drainage
and liquid level sensing.

The selected location should be clean, dry, and provide efficient work
flow within the manufacturing environment. The ambient temperature
should remain between 55–120°F.

Consider the following location requirements—access to utilities,
drains, and cleaning chemistry supplies. Utility requirements include
electricity supply, compressed air, process water, and in some instances
steam or gas supplies.

Caution—

If hot, strong cleaning chemistries contact skin or eyes, bodily

injury can result. To minimize harm in the event of accidental contact with
hot cleaning chemistries, users should locate the belt washer in an area
with an eye wash station and an emergency shower, or install these safety
systems in the area where the belt washer is installed.

Post Installation Checks

Ensure no foreign objects are in the tanks. Verify that the
chip baskets are in place, the inline filter bas are installed,
and the liquid level floats and temperature probes are not damaged
from shipping.

Connecting Optional Equipment

JENFAB technicians and engineers install all optional equipment at
the factory before the belt washer is shipped. If you ordered an
external coalescing oil separator, you must connect it to the belt
washer following the instructions supplied with the oil separator.
