Learning to Use JENFAB Belt Washers
Cold Startup—Automatic System
Follow these steps to complete a cold startup using an automatic belt
washer with a touch screen monitor:
1.
Close the drain lines for the wash, rinse and optional tanks.
2.
Add the washing chemistry to the wash tank per the chemistry
manufacturer’s recommendations. If you are using the oil
separator, consider its volume in the chemistry calculation.
3.
If you are using rinse chemistry, add it to the rinse tank per
the chemistry manufacturer’s recommendation.
4.
Using the manual fill valves, fill the wash and rinse tanks to
4-inches below the top.
5.
If you are using an external oil separator, you can prime it
with water or allow the wash tank liquid level controls to
automatically fill the oil separator once the oil separator’s
pump is started.
6.
Check the wash and rinse inline filters to ensure they are
installed and sufficiently clean following the procedure
described on page 43.
7.
Power up the system by pulling out the
Emergency Stop
button
and pressing the
Power
button on the control panel. The tanks
heaters will begin to heat the solutions in the tank.
8.
After the tanks reach the operating temperature, use the
operator interface to place the machine into manual mode.
9.
Open the bleed valve on the top of the wash tank filter
housing and start the wash tank pump. When water flows
from the bleed line, close the bleed valve and stop the pump.
10.
Open the bleed valve on the top of the rinse tank filter
housing and start the rinse pump. When water flows from the
rinse bleed line, close the bleed valve and stop the pump.
11.
Place the machine in automatic mode. The machine is ready
to operate.
