FADE:  If the softkey FADE is displayed inverted, a fadetime can be assigend to the chase.  

If the softkey FADE is not displayed inverted the parameters will be switched.  
There will be a short message Fade: OFF in the display. 

 
DIR: 

Direction shows in which direction the chase will run. If softkey DIR is displayed inverted, the chase 
will run in one direction only. After pressing the softkey DIR (softkey is not displayed inverted 
anymore) the cahse will run in the opposite direction.
