Google Play Store Settings
General
Notifications
Receive notifications when an app update is
available and when apps are auto-updated.
App download preference
Ask, over any network, or over Wi-Fit only.
Auto-update apps
Auto-update apps on/off or only allow auto-
update when connected to Wi-Fi.
Auto-play videos
Always, only over Wi-Fi, or never.
Theme
Light, dark, or set by Battery Saver.
Clear local search history
Removes searches preformed on the HT1.
User Controls
Parental controls
Toggle to ON to bring up the parental con-
trols setting screen.
Require authorization for purchases
Set authorization requirements to all pur-
chases, every 30 minutes, or never.
Google Play instant
Some apps can be used without actually in-
stalling them; here you can allow that.
Uninstalling Apps
Android apps can be uninstalled by going
to
Settings
>
Apps & notifications
,
then tap on the app to be uninstalled.
Access and User Restrictions
There are settings and applications that
allow administrators to control what apps
are available to users.
Android devices can be configured to run
in “kiosk mode” with just a single applica-
tion that is active. Systems integrators or
IT personnel can configure units for spe-
cific use and applications, eliminating the
temptation that comes with a full load of
consumer apps.
