If you notice that the target animal only enters the trap during certain periods of the day/night
you might wish to set up START STOP timeframes. This allows images to be sent though to
you only during predetermined times set by yourself. We would only recommend this option
aft
er a time of 24 hour surveillance so you don’t potentially miss out on target animal activities.
•
Another option is to turn the SEND MODE to OFF remotely. To do this remotely send code
*140#2# to the camera, use code *140#0# to turn the SEND MODE to INSTANT again.
My camera isn’t finding the network.
•
The M.I.N.E.
™
and I.C.E.
™
Cameras are designed to work on the Mobile network, they will
not work in areas with no mobile connection. If you are in a mobile reception area check that
an activated SIM is installed in the camera.
•
Check another device, like your phone to check that the network is operational, on occasions
the network is not active.
•
Try turning the camera off, taking the SIM out of the camera, reinserting it and switching the
camera back to setup.
•
Take the camera back to an area known to have good Mobile Network coverage for testing.
•
Check that the antenna is installed correctly.
How to send a photo manually
•
To send a photo manually turn the camera to Setup and allow the camera to register with the
network. Once the camera is connected to the network press the OK button, this will
immediately capture an image. Press OK again and the image will be uploaded to the network.
You should see several messages on the screen, for images showing these messages refer to
the images on page 17. You should receive the image to you phone shortly after.
What do the letters on the images mean?
•
The “M” indicates the photo was triggered by “Motion”. The letter “S” would in
dicate a photo
triggered by SMS code *500# or Request Photo from the portal or mobile app. “T” wou
ld
indicate a photo triggered by “Time Lapse” and “E” would indicate a manually triggered photo
using the camera’s OK select button during SETUP or scheduled
event set up through the
portal or mobile app.
What SIM card do I need?
•
You will need an activated SIM, ensuring that it has both phone and data capabilities. We find
Telstra SIM’s provide the greatest phone coverage.
We find no difference between pre-paid or
post-
paid plan SIM’s s
o long as it has phone as well as data capabilities. You might find that
the region where you are working requires a different carrier, this will make no difference to the
operation of the cameras. Please refer to SELECTING A SIM CARD on page 25 for further
information.
