Order of settings

The settings on your watch must be made in the order indi-
cated below, as per the following instructions:
1)  Set the time-zone hour and minute hands
2)  Set the date and local hour hand

Set the second time-zone hour and minute hands

This  first  setting  consists  of  adjusting  the  city  disc,  and  the
second  time-zone  hour  and  minute  hands  to  provide  the
mechanism with the reference parameters.

1

st

operation:

setting the city disc (select local city).

Crown B
Turn the compression key to the “open” position in the direc-
tion of the arrow.
Pull crown B out to position 2.
Turn  the  crown  clockwise  or  anti-clockwise,  so  that  the
window at 6 o’clock opposite the triangular marker displays
the city corresponding to the time-zone that you are in (your
local city).
Once the operation is complete, push the crown back into
position 1 and turn the compression key to the “closed” posi-
tion in the direction of the arrows.

2

nd

operation:

setting the second time-zone hour hand (dial at

9 o’clock) and local time minute hand.
Crown A
Turn the compression key to the “open” position in the direc-
tion of the arrow.
Pull crown A out to position 3.
The movement will then be locked (the operating indicator
will stop).
Turn the crown clockwise. Note: the local hour hand and date
are automatically driven by this operation, but their final set-
tings will be made independently, as per the instructions for
the next stage.
As  you  turn  the  crown,  keep  an  eye  on  both  the  second
time-zone  hour  hand  (in  the  sub-dial  at  9 o’clock)  and  the
main minute hand.
Move  the  hour  hand  in  the  sub-dial  forward  to  obtain  the
local time, while observing the 24-hour display system, oppo-
site the small triangle in the 9 o’clock position. Keep turning
the crown to move the main minute hand to the desired local
time position.
Once the operation is complete, push the crown back into
position 1 and turn the compression key to the “closed” posi-
tion in the direction of the arrows. The watch will then start
running again.

Note: daylight saving time / winter time

Perform  the  two  operations  above  to  correct  the  second
time-zone  for  the  summer  time  (DST)  and  winter  time
changeovers.
The configuration of the city disc corresponds to a relative
time-zone position in winter time (legal time).

For a correct second time-zone reading during summer time
(DST), you need to consider the geographic location of the
country  in  question,  i.e.  whether  it  is  in  the  Northern  or
Southern Hemisphere.
The  Northern  Hemisphere  countries  which  apply  daylight
saving time do so between March/April and October:
-   In  Europe  (except  Iceland):  between  the  last  Sunday  of

March and the last Sunday of October.

-   In North America: between the first Sunday of April and

the last Sunday of October.

Some  Southern  Hemisphere  countries  also  apply  the  hour
change,  but  on  different  dates. The  three  cities  concerned
which are shown on the time-zone disc of your watch are
Rio de Janeiro, Auckland and Sydney, for which daylight saving
time runs from October to February or March (according to
annual decrees).

Setting the local date and hour hand

The Master Compressor Diving Pro Geographic watch has a
local hour hand quick-setting function, which is also used for
setting the date.
In position 2, crown A can move the local hour hand in one-
hour jumps, while driving the date (in both directions). The
minute  hand  keeps  running,  maintaining  an  accurate  watch
setting.

1

st

operation:

setting the date

Crown A
Turn the compression key to the “open” position in the direc-
tion of the arrow.
Then pull crown A out to position 2.
The date can be corrected by one day by turning the local
hour hand through two revolutions of the dial (the hour hand
makes one-hour jumps).
Turn  the  crown  forward  or  backward  (depending  on  the
closest distance between the indicated date and the desired
date),  and  turn  the  hour  hand  as  many  times  as  necessary
until the desired date is displayed.
Keep  the  compression  key  in  the  “open”  position  to  go
directly to the 2

nd

setting below, for the hour hand.
