CAUTION
Installation Notes
• Clean the inside and outside of filter head (5).
• Lightly lubricate O-ring with clean oil.
• Install sedimentor filter by reversing the order of
removal.
• Close valve (4) by turning valve clockwise.
• Tighten cup (2) hand tight.
• Open fuel shutoff lever (1).
• Purge air from the fuel system after installing the new
filter. (See “Purging the Fuel System” on page 3-5.)
See the engine manufacturer’s manual for further
instructions.

CAUTION
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-6.)
2. Allow engine to cool completely.
3. Raise hood.

4. Turn fuel shutoff lever (1) to horizontal (off) position.

5. Thoroughly clean area surrounding fuel filter (3).
6. Remove fuel filter (3) by turning counterclockwise.
Dispose of fuel properly. Contact the local
environmental department for instructions on
disposing of unwanted fuel products.
Diesel fuel is highly flammable—handle with care.
Use an approved container with a spout that will
fit inside the fuel filler neck. Avoid using
unapproved containers to transport fuel. Keep all
fuel containers clean and closed when not in use.
