MAINTENANCE
12.1 GENERAL ________________________________________________________________
1.
Adjustment and maintenance should always be
performed by a qualified technician. If proper
adjustments cannot be made, contact an Authorized
Jacobsen Dealer.
2.
Inspect the equipment on a regular basis, establish
a maintenance schedule and keep detailed records.
a.
Keep the equipment clean.
b.
Keep all moving parts properly adjusted and
lubricated.
c.
Replace worn or damaged parts before operating
the machine.
d.
Keep shields in place and all hardware securely
fastened.
e.
Keep tires properly inflated (If installed).
3.
Long hair, jewelry or loose fitting clothing may get
tangled in moving parts.
4.
Use the illustrations in the Parts Catalog as
reference for the disassembly and reassembly of
components.
5.
Recycle or dispose of all hazardous materials
(batteries, lubricants, etc.) according to local, state
or federal regulations.
6.
Do not change speed limit settings or overspeed the
drive motors.
7.
After servicing reel or traction motor, check to be
sure motor connections are tight.
12.2 TIRES (OPTION) ___________________________________________________________
1.
Keep tires properly inflated to prolong tire life. Check
pressure only when the tires are cool.
2.
Use an accurate, low pressure tire gauge. 6 - 8 psi
(0.413-0.551 BAR)
12.3 WHEEL BEARING _________________________________________________________
The bearing has the word LOCK and an arrow stamped
on the face. When replacing the bearing, make
absolutely certain that the bearing is being installed in the
proper direction or rotation.
For the Right wheel, install the bearing with the
“LOCK

" arrow to the Outside of the bearing housing.
For the Left wheel, install the bearing with the “LOCK
➨
"
arrow to the Inside of the housing.

WARNING
Before you adjust, clean, or repair this equipment,
always disengage all drives, engage parking brake,
turn power off and disconnect power connector to
prevent serious injury.

CAUTION
Be careful to prevent entrapment of the hands and
fingers between moving and fixed components of the
machine.

CAUTION
Unless you have the proper training, tools and
experience, DO NOT attempt to mount a tire on a rim.
Improper mounting can produce an explosion that
may result in serious injury.
