The phone will automatically dial your selection, and you will see
the details of the call on the phone screen.
6.
When connected you are free to communicate normally.
7.
Even if your call is not answered, you must end the call as
described in
Ending a call.
Hint:
We recommend that you record all voice tags using FreeSpeak in
order to “train” your phone to recognize voice tags that come through
FreeSpeak’s microphone instead of the phone’s microphone. Please
consult your phone manufacturer’s web site for the latest recording
methods and related issues.
Ending a call
To end a call:
1.
Use the key(s) as specified by your phone manufacturer.
2.
Also, you must always press the headset’s button.
You
should hear a series of 2 descending tones. The indicator light
on the headset should now be flashing once every 3 seconds
indicating that the headset is in standby mode and that you have
ended your call.
Important:
It is very important to end calls as described above.
Otherwise your batteries will discharge quickly since FreeSpeak is in
active mode, not standby mode (see
Understanding the FreeSpeak
indicators
).
Answering a call
Any of the three methods below can be used to answer a call. In each
case you will be putting your FreeSpeak into ‘active’ mode which is the
operating mode that is used for talking. During this mode the indicator
lights will flash every second indicating that more power is being used.
Headset first (recommended method)
Briefly press the
button. Then use the standard method to
answer a call with your phone’s keypad.
Making a call
Now that you are wearing FreeSpeak, there are different ways to
make a call.
Calling with the phone’s keypad
1.
Ensure that your headset is in standby mode by removing it from
multi-adapter
2.
Briefly press
on the headset to put the headset into ‘active’
mode. Active mode is when an audio link has been established
between the multi-adapter and headset. As the headset goes into
active mode, you will hear 2 ascending tones. In this mode,
the indicator lights on the headset and the multi-adapter will be
flashing every second. You may also hear a faint background noise
as well.
3.
Using the phone’s keypad, dial the phone number.
4.
Press the phone’s ‘send’ key.
5.
Even if your call is not answered, you must end the call as
described in
Ending a call.
