Dedicated keel stop plate to prevent
keel from being over-hoisted.

Removable Handle

Nylock nut.  Allows alternative use of a
long 3/4" socket combined with a
power drill for keel hoisting or

deployment operations.

Please refer to Appendix C: J/70 Techincal Bulletins Oct. 25, 2012 & Dec. 13, 2012 for additional information
relating to proper use of the keel crane.
Hull # 1-100 built in the USA were equipped with 6mm Dyneema Cable for the keel crane from Marlow Ropes.
Hull # 101 and above are equipped with 3/16" 7 x 19 galvanized wire cable for the keel crane from Hall Rigging.
