 Manufacturing/Debug UART Interface 

As per Qseven Specification, manufacturing signals on Qseven Edge connector can be assigned by vendor and it can 

be connected to interfaces like UART or JTAG. RZ/G1H Qseven SOM supports Debug UART interface on these pins in 

Qseven Edge connector. RZ/G1H 

CPU’s 

SCIFA2 is used for Debug UART interface. As per Qseven Specification, to select 

UART  as debug interface, MFG_NC4  pin should be made  low  in carrier board even though it is not  mandatory  for 

RZ/G1H Qseven SOM.

Note:  Optionally  JTAG  interface  can  be  supported  instead  of  Debug  UART  interface  on  Qseven  Edge  connector  in 

RZ/G1H Qseven SOM. Please contact iWave for more details. 

2.6.18

 

 Power Input 

The RZ/G1H Qseven SOM works with single 5V power input (VCC) from Qseven Edge connector and generates all other 

required powers internally On-SOM itself. RZ/G1H Qseven SOM also uses VCC_RTC coin cell power input from Qseven 

Edge connector to

 

RTC controller for real time clock (when VCC is off). RZ/G1H Qseven SOM 

doesn’t use Standby power 

supply from Qseven Edge connector.

Note: The RZ/G1H Qseven SOM can also be powered by On-SOM Power IN connector for SOM stand-alone usage. For 

more details, refer section

2.6.19

 

 Power Control Signal 

The  RZ/G1H  Qseven  SOM  supports  a  power  control  signal  PWGIN  on  Qseven  Edge  connector.  PWGIN  input  from 

Qseven Edge connector is the active high signal which is used to enable the power of RZ/G1H Qseven SOM. For more 

details on PWRGIN signal usage, refer section 

3.1.2

.

2.6.20

 

 Reset Signal 

The RZ/G1H Qseven SOM supports RSTBTN# input from Qseven Edge connector. This RSTBTN# input is the active low 

input signal and can be used to reset RZ/G1H CPU by connecting push button in the carrier board.
