HDMI Interface (Optional)

The RZ/G1H Qseven SOM optionally supports one HDMI interface on Qseven Edge connector through On-SOM HDMI

transmitter “

IT6263

”

. The RZG1H

CPU’s

LVDS output DU_LVDS1 is connected to this HDMI transmitter for HDMI

interface support.

The IT6263 is a high-performance single-chip De-SSC LVDS to HDMI converter. Combined with LVDS receiver and HDMI

1.4a Transmitter, the IT6263 supports LVDS input and HDMI1.4 output by conversion function. The build-in HDMI

transmitter is fully compliant with HDMI 1.4a/3D, HDCP 1.2 and backward compatible with DVI 1.0 specification. With

high speed LVDS RX, the IT6263 can support resolution up to 1080P and UXGA and 8-bit deep colours.

o support audio on HDMI, this HDMI transmitter supports I2S interface and connected to RZ/G1H CPU’s SSI0. This

HDMI transmitter can be configured through RZ/G1H CPU’s I2C2 interface

with slave address 0x4C and supports DDC

interface on Qseven Edge connector to support EDID interface with external display. Also it supports hot plug detection

(HPD) through Qseven Edge connector.

Note:

In RZ/G1H SOM, RZ/G1H CPU’s

DU_LVDS1 output can be connected to either HDMI transmitter or Secondary

LVDS port of Qseven Edge. By default, it is connected to Secondary LVDS port of Qseven Edge. Please contact iWave for

more details.

Important Note: To support this HDMI feature, customer must be having HDMI Adopter & HDCP License. Otherwise,

this feature can’t be supported.

Also this HDMI transmitter supports operating temperature range of only 0°C to 70°C.

2.6.10

I2S Audio Interface

The RZ/G1H Qseven SOM supports one I2S audio interface port on Qseven Edge connector along with one more I2S

audio interface on Expansion conenctor2. RZ/G1H

CPU’s

SSI3 & SSI4 of SSIU is used for I2S interface. Also RZ/G1H

Qseven SOM supports reset output on Qseven Edge connector for carrier board Audio Codec from CPU GPIO

The RZ/G1H

CPU’s

serial sound interface (SSI) is a transceiver module designed to send or receive audio data

interfacing with a variety of devices offering I2S format. It also supports master/slave functions and multi-channel

format functions. The frequency range of SCK signal is from 297.3kHz to 12.5MHz at master mode and from 297.3kHz

to 15.1MHz at slave mode. SSI Module supports TDM format operation at 44.1 or 48-kHz sampling rate.
