4 Preparation
4.1 Dimensions for Single Conductor, Wire Stripping
Stripping can be performed either thermically or mechanically. For solder contacts, conductors have to be
pre-tinned. Note: Do not twist conductors used with crimp contacts. Do not touch un-insulated conductors
before crimping. Twisting of conductors and grease or lubricants on the wires causes poor crimp quality.
4.2 Wire Stripping Length for System Cable
4.3 Preparation of Shielded System Cable
Cut off the shielded cable jacked, see 4.2.
Remove the protective foil if necessary.
Turn over braid and fix it with a tape.
Strip the wire insulation cables, see 4.1
Crimp the contacts, see 3.6.
