BLADES

Your SPT160V reciprocating saw is designed to accept standard reciprocating 

saw blades.  Note the the shape of the ends of the blades supplied with your tool.  

Check to ensure that any blades you use on this saw are designed for the task.

WARNING

Before installing or removing saw blade, turn off the power switch 

and disconnect the plug from the power source.

INSTALLING A SAW BLADE

1.   Loosen the Quick Change Blade Clamp Screw.

2.   Insert the blade into the blade clamp.  Make sure that saw teeth are ALWAYS

 

facing down.

3.   Tighten the Quick Change Blade Clamp Screw to secure the blade.

WARNING: 

Before you plug in the power cord, always pull on the blade sharply 

to ensure it is firmly held in the blade clamp.  Failure to do so may result in 

serious injury.

RUNNING THE SPT160V

1.   Plug in the tool.

2.   Hold the tool firmly.  Check to make sure that saw blade travel is not obstructed.  

3.   Engage the interlock button with your thumb.   

4.  While holding in the interlock button, squeeze the trigger switch.  Squeezing 

the trigger more will increase the speed.  The maximum speed is adjustable  

by rotating the speed adjustment thumb wheel.

5.   To stop the saw, release the trigger.
