7.2.6 Starting the ParticleScan USB Software
for PC
Ensure that the ParticleScan is connected to the computer
via a USB cable. Switch your ParticleScan on by pressing
the ON/OFF key for two seconds.
Start your ParticleScan USB Software for PC by a simple
double-click on the ParticleScan icon on your desktop.
After a few seconds, the <Connection Dialog> window
opens. If you are properly connected to the ParticleScan,
the unit’s name and serial number will appear in the USB
description field.
The ParticleScan Control window will appear. The
Connection Status should be <Connected>.
Note: If <Not Connected> appears, the ParticleScan may
have been switched off. In this case you need to quit
the ParticleScan software, switch the ParticleScan on and
start the ParticleScan USB Software again.
Important: The IP Menu needs to be set to
[IP OFF] for the USB connection to work
(see Chapter 5.13).
