Replacing Seat Upholstery
Seat Angle Adjustment
NOTE:
For
this
procedure,
refer
to
FIGURE 7.2
on
page 41.
NOTE:
The
seat
angle
can
be
changed
by
raising
or
lowering
the
rear
of
the
seat
frame
relative
to
the
side
frame.
1. Fold
the
back.
Refer
to
Unfolding/Folding
the
Back
on
page 30.
2. Flip
wheelchair
upside
down.
3. Loosen,
but
DO
NOT
remove,
the
two
mounting
screws
that
secure
the
front
of
the
seat
frame
to
the
side
frame.
4. On
the
top
of
each
crescent
link,
remove
the
locknut
and
washer
from
the
mounting
screw.
5. On
the
bottom
of
each
crescent
link,
remove
the
locknut
and
washer
from
the
mounting
screw.
6. Adjust
seat
angle
by
performing
one
of
the
following:
• Moving
top
mounting
screws
to
a
new
adjustment
hole
in
each
crescent
link.
• Moving
bottom
mounting
screws
to
a
new
adjustment
hole
in
the
crescent
link.
• Moving
both
mounting
screws
to
a
new
adjustment
hole
in
the
crescent
link.
NOTE:
Mounting
screws
in
both
crescent
links
MUST
be
adjusted
to
the
same
adjustment
hole.
7. Once
seat
angle
has
been
adjusted,
install
one
washer
and
one
locknut
onto
each
mounting
screw
in
the
crescent
links.
8. Securely
tighten
all
four
mounting
screws
and
locknuts.
9. Securely
tighten
both
mounting
screws
and
locknuts
that
secure
the
front
of
the
seat
frame
to
the
side
frame.
