CAUTION
Ensure that the recline trigger release lever operating the RIGHT gas cylinder
secures to the LEFT side of the adjustable angle stroller handle and that the recline
trigger release lever operating the LEFT gas cylinder secures to the RIGHT side of
the adjustable angle stroller handle, allowing the cables to form an “X” pattern
(Detail “A” of FIGURE 13.3). Otherwise, damage to the cables may occur.
5. While standing behind the wheelchair, secure the recline trigger release lever
operating the right gas cylinder to the left side of the adjustable angle stroller handle
with the existing mounting screw and locknut (Detail "C"). Securely tighten.
CAUTION
DO NOT over tighten the new cable into the actuator housing. Damage to the
actuator housing can occur.
6. Screw the end of the new recliner cable into the actuator housing until the
cable is
tightened securely (Detail "B").
7. Install the end of the
recliner cable onto the actuator (Detail "B").
NOTE: Make sure the
recliner cable is positioned in the slot in the actuator.
8. Secure the recline cables to the back canes using new tie wraps (Detail “C”).
9. Repeat Removing Existing Recliner Cables on page 79 and Installing New Recliner
Cables on page 79 for the opposite recliner cable, if necessary.
10. Test the operation of the gas cylinders. Refer to Adjusting the Gas Cylinders on
page 83.
