5.10 Repairing/Replacing Rear Wheel, Tire/Tube

Replacement of the tire or tube MUST be performed

by a qualified technician.

CAUTION!

–

Changing the size of the rear wheels can affect the

performance of the wheelchair. Contact Invacare at
the numbers on the back cover BEFORE performing
this procedure.

If replacing rear wheels with a different size than what
was originally on the wheelchair, the front caster height
and/or diameter MUST also be changed to keep the
wheelchair frame parallel to the floor. Refer to 5.12
Removing/Installing/Repositioning the Caster Assemblies,
page 70 ONLY after contacting Invacare. Anti-tipper height
(if applicable) MUST also be adjusted to maintain 1-1/2 to
2-inch clearance between bottom of the anti-tipper wheels
and the floor. Refer to 4.19 Adjusting/Replacing Anti-tipper,
