SPJ™+, SPJ+ w/PSS or SPJ+ w/ACC Joysticks
The joystick information gauge and the service indicator give indications of the type of
fault or error detected by the control module. When a fault is detected, the wheelchair
may stop and not drive. The LEDs on the information gauge may flash in a particular
pattern or the service indicator light will flash. The number or type of flashes indicates the
nature of the error. If multiple errors are found, only the first error encountered by the
control module will be displayed.
Information Gauge Display Diagnostics
Seating system not functioning or
working intermittently.
Low batteries.
Faulty electrical connection.
Blown fuse.
Limit switch or switches
preventing seating.
Charge batteries.
Check all connections.
Have wiring harness replaced by a
qualified technician.
Trouble shoot limit switches for
position and connectivity.
Programmer does not work or gives
“communication error”.
System tilted, reclined or
elevated beyond drive lock-out
angle (20°).
Return to neutral position (upright and
completely lowered). Refer to
Operating Powered Seating Systems in
the owner’s manual.
Contact Invacare/Dealer for service if
this does not solve the problem.
Wheelchair drives at reduced speed. Seating system is elevated.
Completely lower the seat.
