2. Reinstall battery boxes. Refer to Removing/Installing Battery Boxes on page 121.
3. If wheelchair is equipped with pneumatic tires, inflate tire to proper tire pressure
located on the side wall of the tire.
Removing Casters
WARNING
DO NOT use your power wheelchair unless it has the proper tire pressure (p.s.i.).
DO NOT over-inflate the tires. Failure to follow these suggestions may cause the
tire to explode and cause bodily harm. The recommended tire pressure is listed on
the side wall of the tire.
Periodically, the tires will need to be replaced due to wear or puncture.
6 inch Casters and 8 inch Casters
NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 14.8 on page 147
1. Remove the mounting screw, washers, spacers and locknut that secure the caster to the
fork.
2. Remove the existing caster from the fork.
