Phone Does Not Ring

Remove handset from cradle to ensure that the ringer annunciator is
exposed and unobstructed. Ring handset in an extension-to-extension
call.

If another handset is available, plug the J1 plug into the new handset to
verify that a ring signal is arriving at the handset from a CTU or
transceiver system.
Audio Feedback through the Handset

Typically, this problem is evident when the MICVOL, RXL, or TXL are
set too high, which causes too much amplification in the internal audio
circuits. Decrease these adjustments starting with the one set the
highest until comfortable audio is heard and the feedback is not evident.
