Abduction belt with push-in buckle
An abduction belt is used to restrain the thigh to the thigh cushion on the seat
shell�
To apply the abduction belt, proceed as follows:
One part of the abduction belt originates in the fold between the seat cushion
and the thigh cushion; it is equipped with a black press-in buckle inserter�
The other part of the abduction belt is located on the outside of the thigh
cushion bolt and is equipped with a push-in buckle receptacle�
Lay the part of the abduction belt with the push-in buckle inserter over the
patient’s thigh and check to ensure that it is lying flat and not twisted�
Insert the push-in buckle inserter into the push-in buckle receptacle until
it audibly clicks into place�
If it is necessary to readjust the belt length, proceed as follows: Pull the
belt tighter by pulling the free end of the belt strap away from the plastic
buckle until the desired tension is achieved� Loosen the belt by turning the
belt buckle until it is perpendicular to the belt strap and then pull it away
from the seat shell�
Adjust the belt strap length to ensure that it is secure but not constricting�

Abduction belt with deflection roller
An abduction belt is used to restrain the thigh to the thigh cushion on the seat
shell�
To apply the abduction belt, proceed as follows:
One part of the abduction belt originates in the fold between the seat cush-
ion and the thigh cushion; it is equipped with a deflection roller�
The other part of the abduction belt is located on the outside of the thigh
cushion bolt and is equipped with a hook and loop fastener�
Lay the part of the abduction belt with the deflection roller over the pa-
tient’s thigh and check to ensure that it is lying flat and not twisted�
Then insert the other end of the belt (that is not fastened together) through
the deflection roller�
Pull the free end until the desired adjustment has been achieved�
Secure the hook and loop fastener; the adjustment is now secure�
Adjust the belt strap length to ensure that it is secure but not constricting�
