Cabling the Server Board 

After mounting the server board, it needs to be cabled to the following chassis components: 

• 

Power supply 

• 

Fan assembly 

• 

Front panel  

• 

Hot swap bay 

• 

Chassis intrusion switch 

• 

CD-ROM drive (if installed) 

• 

Diskette drive (if installed)

1.  Ensure that the I

C cable from the hot swap backplane is connected at Figure 11, A. 

 CAUTION 

Do not use the cable shipped with the chassis for connection to (B).  Only 
use the cable shipped with the server board. 

 

2.  Connect the cable from the server board to the bottom connector (B) of the front panel board. 
3.  If you are installing a diskette drive, connect the diskette drive data cable to the connector (C). 
4.  If you are installing a slim-line IDE CD-ROM, connect the IDE cable to the connector (D).
